The term “Renforcé” comes from French and translates to “reinforced”. By making the fabric stronger and more stable through a specific weave, it outperforms traditional cotton. The material also absorbs moisture well – a property that is particularly useful in summer.

And not only in fashion, but also as bedding, linen is an extremely popular material that no longer only has the typical beige look, but is also available in a variety of colors. But be careful: Flax, like almost all natural materials, is a little rough at first, which is why the material can initially feel a little scratchy on the skin. But if linen is washed properly (carefully and not spun too hard), it will soften over time.

Not only is silk bedding an extremely popular choice for allergy sufferers, we also like to use the cooling, elegant, shiny material in the summer. But be careful: as glamorous as the idea of silk bedding may be, some people find the material smooth on the skin and therefore take some getting used to.
How do I wash bed linen in the summer?
Whether it’s summer or winter, there are some rules you should follow when washing bed linen. First of all, there is the temperature: Bed linen should be washed at a maximum of 60 degrees, but 40 degrees is completely sufficient in most cases, especially when it comes to colored covers. Regardless, the care label provides the best information. And to answer the question of frequency: How often you wash your bedding is up to you, a cycle of one to two weeks is recommended. However, we sweat more in the summer months, so an extra wash or two certainly won’t hurt.
