The new MINI Countryman D in your favourite trim: efficient driving with driving pleasure typical of the brand.

Munich. The MINI Countryman is the all-rounder of the new MINI family: agile in the city, comfortable in the country and noticeably more spacious on the inside. The MINI Countryman D expands the drive portfolio with another drive option thanks to an efficient two-litre four-cylinder diesel engine.
With purely electric drive and a petrol engine already available in the MINI Countryman, MINI customers can choose from the full range of advanced engine technologies.

Efficient diesel drive for an incredibly smooth ride.

An electric motor with 48-volt mild hybrid technology integrated into the transmission is used to recover braking energy and supports the performance of the Twin Power Motors with 14 kW of electric drive power, meaning that the MINI Countryman D reacts even more directly at low speeds and is at the same time particularly efficient.

Overall, the MINI Countryman D’s smoothly-running diesel engine (combined fuel consumption: 4.9-4.6 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 127-120 g/km (WLTP-compliant)) delivers an output of 120 kW/163 hp. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.5 seconds. On all routes, the combination of direct steering and the single-joint MacPherson strut front axle with a multi-link rear axle ensures the brand’s typical go-kart feeling.

A pure design with a unique look.

The pared-down vehicle design can be individually presented exterior and interior with four trim variants: Essential, Classic, Favourite and John Cooper Works. In Favourite trim and Midnight Black metallic, the MINI Countryman D looks particularly commanding thanks to its wide, upright stance. From the front, the octagonal front grille is highlighted in Vibrant Silver and, together with the striking MINI LED headlights, contributes to a powerful appearance.

The brand’s typical short overhangs emphasise the vehicle’s agile character and provide a striking contrast to the elegantly extended vehicle roof. The stylishly designed C-pillars are colour-matched and carry badges indicating the selected trim variant. Standard roof rails in piano black further expand the transport options of the MINI Countryman D. There are also light-alloy wheels available in a range of designs and sizes, from 17″ to 21″.

Spacious interior with innovative technology.
The MINI Countryman’s body dimensions have been increased for increased comfort: the driver and front passenger now have three centimetres more width in the shoulder and elbow areas. At the rear, the rear seats can be moved by up to 13 centimetres to provide additional legroom or more luggage space. On the three rear seats, the backrests can be adjusted individually by up to 12 degrees in six positions. Thanks to the rear seat backrests, which can be folded in a 40:20:40 ratio, the trunk volume increases from 450 litres to a maximum of 1460 litres.

The interior feels comfortable and homely thanks to new textile surfaces in the area of the dashboard and interior door panels. The spacious design aesthetic is enhanced by a Panaroma glass roof, which improves light and all-round visibility.

A circular OLED display with a high-quality glass surface with a diameter of 240 millimetres is the new central instrument in the cockpit of the MINI Countryman D. From here, the infotainment and assistance systems can be operated conveniently and intuitively via touch or voice commands. All driving functions can be controlled via the characteristic MINI toggle switch strip below.

The MINI Experience Mode combines visual design, ambient lighting and innovative sound design to make the driving experience in the cockpit particularly immersive.

For the first time, the Driving Assistant Plus expands the MINI Countryman with the option of partially automated Level 2 driving on highway-like routes, allowing the driver to take their hands off the steering wheel at speeds of up to 60 km/h, as long as they closely follow the flow of traffic and are ready to intervene at any time.
