Munich. With the new MINI Countryman E, the brand is expanding its range of fully electric models. With its larger dimensions, the crossover model is the perfect companion for the whole family. It is 13 centimetres longer and 8 centimetres taller than the second-generation MINI Countryman. As a result, the current largest MINI is now more spacious inside than ever before, offering new space and storage space. With the rear seats folded down, even bulky items can be transported with ease in the luggage compartment with a volume of up to 1,450 litres. A ground clearance of 202 mm also increases comfort, even on uneven roads.
The MINI Countryman is available in four new vehicle trims, offering numerous options for exterior and interior customisation. The expressive Favored trim emphasises the brand’s signature design features in a vibrant silver colour. If desired, the choice of colour-matched roof and mirror caps creates an expressive contrast to the body colour. Clearly designed surfaces give the MINI Countryman E a clearly visible presence in the deep, shimmering Blazing Blue colour. Inside, comfortable sports seats and a newly designed sports steering wheel with a textile strap instead of the spoke at six o’clock are available in Favourite trim.
Progressive drive enhances driving pleasure.
The 150 kW/204 hp electric motor in the MINI Countryman E achieves a torque of 250 Nm. This means that the all-rounder accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and has a top speed of 170 km/h. Thanks to the engine’s continuously variable acceleration, the fully electric MINI Countryman is particularly agile, underlining the brand’s typical go-kart feeling. The powerful battery has an energy capacity of 66.45 kWh. With direct current fast charging of up to 130 kW, 29 minutes is sufficient to charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent. In the WLTP test cycle, the model has a range of up to 462 kilometres.
An expressive exterior that has been stripped down to the bare essentials.
The all-new exterior design enhances the off-road character of the MINI Countryman. With its short overhangs, short bonnet and contrasting long wheelbase, the crossover model exudes agility. The clear design of the surfaces improves aerodynamics for increased range and emphasises the modern design. A newly designed octagonal front grille supports the look of the MINI Countryman E together with the striking LED headlights. As an option, three light signatures for the front and rear lights can highlight different aspects of the body design.
Viewed from the side, the gently curving roof seamlessly connects with the newly designed C-pillar and a distinctive black band all around adds a sporty accent. The distinctive MINI rim design is available for the MINI Countryman E in sizes from 17 to 21 inches.
The interior features warm materials and innovative technology.
The cockpit of the new MINI Countryman offers driver and passenger extra space and comfort thanks to around three centimetres more width in the shoulder and elbow areas. The dashboard is covered in a two-tone textile that extends into the door panels. A circular OLED display with a diameter of 240 mm and high-quality glass surfaces form the heart of the cockpit. All infotainment and assistance systems based on the new MINI Operating System 9 can be controlled by touch or voice control. The MINI Experience Mode enables a particularly immersive driving experience.
The panoramic glass roof brings even more light into the spacious interior, creating a pleasantly bright and inviting atmosphere.
Advanced assistance systems that provide greater comfort and safety.
Innovative assistance systems now support drivers with new functions: With the optional Driving Assistant Professional, partially automated Level 2 driving is now possible for the first time on highway-like routes. This allows the driver to take their hands off the steering wheel at speeds of up to 60 km/h, as long as they closely follow the flow of traffic and are ready to intervene at any time. The assistant can even identify gaps in traffic that require a lane change towards the exit. It then adjusts the car to the optimal speed for lane change assistance.
