The change in the capacity of the net car of short-delivery (temporary transfer on behalf of the dealer awaiting resale to the final customer) recorded an increase of 7.7% compared to May 2023. Car sales.used continues to attract more support than new sales: for every 100 cars in May, 193 second ones were sold (186 in the first five months of the year).
The network entrance of motorcycles increased, with an increase of 6.1% in May compared to the same month in 2023.
In the choice of fuel, the consumer’s interest, for the umpteenth time, fell mainly in the conventional fuel (diesel and petrol), while the market share of fuel hybrid cars stood at 7.6%, an increase of 68.5%. The second electric car, despite growing by 67.8%, still does not exceed 0.7% share.
With a small transfer, diesel cars confirmed themselves at the top of the ranking (48.6% share in May, down to the same month in 2023, when it ended at 52.9%). The position of hybrid fuel reached 8.7%, with an increase of 57.5%, thus progressing more than that of bi-fuel/LPG which stood at 7.1%. Finally, it is worth pointing out the increase in small deliveries of diesel and electric hybrid vehicles, which achieved an increase of 60.3% and 64.1% respectively, but in percentages still below 2%.
In the first five months of 2024 compared to the same period of 2023, net deliveries show an increase of 10.2% for cars, 6.2% for motorcycles and 9.1% for all vehicles.
The data is reported in the latest monthly magazine “Auto-Trend”, a statistical analysis of Italian automobiles made with PRA data, which can be consulted on the website www.aci.it.
The good work of radiation continues in May too, although it slows down but does not always reduce the growth of the Italian fleet. Car radio recorded an increase of 11.7% compared to May 2023 (determined by a 21% growth in exports). The turnover rate of the group reached 0.70 in May (for every 100 vehicles 70 were withdrawn) and 0.71 in the first five months of 2024.
Motorcycle radiation is on the rise, closing the balance sheet for May with an increase of 6.3%.
In general, from January to May 2024, compared to the same month of 2023, radiation increased by 23.6% for cars, 12.6% for motorcycles and 23% for all vehicles.
